Spirofil-Averinox supplies synthetic woven (filtration) belts, particularly for dewatering (belt presses) and various drying processes. In addition, the program includes a range of synthetic woven filter cloth suitable for chamber or plate filter presses. Spirofil-Averinox has a 24-hour service facility available that can provide immediate assistance, supply and/or mounting of synthetic woven belts and synthetic filter cloth.

Synthetic woven belts are made with special first quality yarns in 100% polyester. Every woven belt is heat-set, granting a high degree of stability and long running life.

Woven mesh belts
Features & Benefits of synthetic woven filter belts are: very fine filtration possibilities, hight strength, smooth surface, good air permeability, width up to 6 m, stable to the influence of heat and moisture, standard preconfectioned clipper joint, pH range 2 to 8, minimum elongation and and a long operation time.

A special type of woven wire mesh belts is the so called double weave woven wire belt. This belt consist of two layers: a flat top layer and a support layer. Double weave woven wire belts are mainly used for solid/liquid filtration applications in for example (petro)chemical industries and water treatment, as a belt, drum or disc filter.
Advantages of a double weave wove wire belt are: good mechanical properties & long lif span, high flow rate, good cake release & cleanability, stable property against heat and thermal shrinking. Spirofil-Averinox delivers a range of synthetic woven fabrics for filter cloths in order to supply as per the requirements of most plate filter presses.
Some examples are: traditional filter cloth, cloth for membrane plates, cloth with sealed edges and/or reinforcements, under cloth for drainage etc. Applications can be found in for example wastewater treatment and the food industry. The woven cloth is based on mono filament and/or multi filament yarn. A mono filament wire has a smooth surface. It allows an excellent cake release and a low retention capacity of particles.

A multi filament wire has a good retention capacity and an reasonable cake release. The combination of more small (twisted) wires together result in a high tensile strength. Combinations of wires are mono-mono filament, mono-multi filament and multi-multi filament. Available weavings are plain weave, twill weave and the so called satin weave.
The combination mono-multi filament in a smooth satin weaving is common applied because of the combination high strength, excellent cake release and easy cleaning.
Main applied materials are polypropylene, polyester and polyamide. A thermofixation treatment of the woven cloth give a high dimensional stability of the fabric. Finally, CAD/CAM and laser cutting equipment result in a high product standard.
